As many of you know, for several years I have maintained a dental practice in Hillsboro, Oregon, which I founded in 1999, and a practice in Madras, Oregon, which I acquired from Dr. Robert Pressprich in 2006. Although I have enjoyed both practices, Central Oregon has been my home since 2003, and I have decided to fully commit my attention to my "close to home" practice in Madras.
To my former Hillsboro patients, I thank you for your patronage, and offer to you my most confident recommendation of my successors, Drs. Brandon and Malinda Kearbey.
To my Central Oregon patients, I thank you too for entrusting the dental aspects of your health care to me and my staff in Madras, and I offer to you the full advantage of years of investment in state-of-the-art technology and expertise made in Hillsboro. For example, those of my dental implant patients who travelled to my Hillsboro practice for a dental CT scan saved the roughly $350 fee associated with a trip to Bend for that scan. When I sold the Hillsboro practice, I transferred the CT equipment to Madras, and now provide 3 Dimensional Computed Tomographic scans to my Central Oregon patients without the travel ... and still without the fee! Another example is the CADCAM technology that I also transferred to Madras, which allows me to make the same ceramic crowns and onlays produced by dental labs right in my own office. With the sale of the Hillsboro practice, i was also able to upgrade our digital X-ray system to the most advanced system available.
Our motto in Hillsboro, etched into the glass door accessing the operatories, states the standard of care that I have set for myself in treating every patient: "State-Of-The-Art Care For The Quality Of Life Your Family Deserves." My intention in Madras is to build upon our technology and expertise to not only maintain that standard, but to do it at a lower cost than conventional care. Although I enjoyed the "fancy digs" of my first practice, I have concluded that a 300 gallon saltwater aquarium doesn't add anything to quality of dentistry ... for my patients or myself! Rather, being "state-of-the-art" should not only offer advanced capabilities, but do so in a more cost efficient manner ... the result of which is higher than average dental care at lower than average fees! What other practice do you know of that offers dental implant evaluation and treatment planning based on CT images at no charge ... then charges sub-PPO fees forthe implant procedure itself?
Our practice in Madras in high on technology and expertise, but modest when it comes fees and furniture. The 300 gallon salt water aquarium was cool, but now that I have "been there, done that," my entire focus is providing "State-of-the-Art Care for the Quality of Life Your Family Deserves ... for Less!"
